About Me

Theory without measurement can only have limited relevance for the analysis of actual economic problems. Whilst measurement without theory, being devoid of a framework necessary for the interpretation of the statistical observations, is unlikely to result in a satisfactory explanation of the way economic forces interact with each other. Neither ‘theory’ nor ‘measurement’ on their own is sufficient to further our understanding of economic phenomena.

– (Geweke, Horowitz & Pesaran, 2006); Econometrics: A Bird’s Eye View

Examining the empirical foundations of business cycle and growth theories. I place particular emphasis on understanding how human capital, social capital, and intellectual capital contribute to the broader dynamics
of economic growth. I make a conscious distinction between Advanced Economies and Emerging Market Economies, recognizing that institutional structures, historical legacies, and macroeconomic constraints
shape growth and labor dynamics in fundamentally different ways.

Analyzing the formal and informal institutional structures that underpin the process of wealth generation. The focus lies in identifying the institutional mechanisms that influence the outcome, and in quantifying the socio-economic variables that critically shape the degree and dynamics of inequality within societies. This analysis is conducted with an explicit historical perspective, recognizing that distributional outcomes are deeply embedded in the evolution of political economy frameworks over time.

I am the founder of Dialogue with Manhar. The objective, through this platform, is to be able to identify appropriate, and adequate, research ideas and implications of those ideas in terms of macroeconomic challenges facing the Advanced Economies (AEs) and Emerging Market Economies (EMEs). The link of the transcripts of the dialogues is here

I am, also, the CEO & Founder of Academy for Data Sciences. It is an educational institute, with the headquarter in Pune, in the business of providing technical skills to students. I am working on a book titled ‘Data Sciences and Critical Thinking: How, and Why, Econometrics is, both, Data Sciences and Application of Critical Thinking Abilities’

I, also, serve as a Fellow at Tando Institute. Here is the link to my profile.
